The Empty Quarter - Debut EP
AVAILABLE FOR PURCHASE SOON
Qalandari dub gypsies, the Empty Quarter, have been pouring out their collective heart and soul in the studio over the last few months, in the lead up to this year’s Darebin Music Feast (a Melbourne Music Festival).
Kate on vocals is joined by Meg Smith on violin, Rasheeda Cooper on percussion, Mark Pederson on electronic-weirdness, and Peter Emptage on bass
On the EP the group explore the realms of the heart through the words of the mystic poets, rumi, hafez and ghalib and their own original lyrics.
The group launched their debut ep at the 2008 Darebin Music Feast, on September 8
